Presenter: Margaret Patterson, Research Allies for Lifelong Learning

This interactive session will share recent research on the numeracy and digital literacy skills and skill use of U.S. adults with learning disabilities (LD). The 2012-2014-2017 PIAAC assessed adults’ skills and reported on the use of these skills. Knowing how employed adults with LD use these skills at work—and how those outside the workforce use them at home—will assist adult educators in understanding what to expect from adult learners with LD and how to enhance their skills and skill use.
