Workshop: Using PIAAC Log Files and Process Data: What can the process data tell us about the process of test-taking?

The American Institutes for Research (AIR), in collaboration with the DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education, with funding from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), is sponsoring a 1.5-day workshop that aims to train researchers in using PIAAC log files and process data. It will take place on November 4-5, 2019 in the Washington, DC area.

Training activities are designed for researchers in the fields of assessment development and adult education, with the aim to gain first insights into successful or unsuccessful task completion behaviors and the relationships of group behaviors to social, economic, and cognitive outcomes. Intermediate level of familiarity with statistical analyses (e.g., regression analysis), R statistical software, and the large-scale international or national assessments is required. The schedule includes presentations and hands-on practical exercises using PIAAC process data/log files available from the 2012 PIAAC administration.
